Alaska Our Story – Day 3 Juneau Part 1

February 27, 2012  •  Leave a Comment

Day 3 we arrived at our 1st port, Juneau.  It was a beautiful sunny day.  As we pulled up to port, we captured images of God’s work.  The mountains and ocean are just so breath taking.

Before we got off the ship we grabbed a bite to eat.  Steve was excited b/c we had cell service again, so we made a few phone calls and checked our texts.

Thomas sported his July 4th shirt, with it being July 4 th and everything.  We were hoping to catch fireworks and any town festivities.  Unfortunately, by the time our ship was cleared, we missed the parade.  Did you know (b/c we didn’t) in Alaska, they do fireworks at midnight on July 3rd to welcome in July 4th.  This is done due to the lack of darkness in Alaska during the summer time.

Happy Shooting,

Mitzi Aylor
