Alaska Our Story – Day 3 Juneau Part 3

March 05, 2012  •  Leave a Comment

At each port, we planned at least one activity.  In Juneau we decided to take the Mount Roberts Tramway.  I was a little nervous, heights are not my thing.  We rode in an enclosed tramway gondala from the cruise dock through the rain forest 1, 800-foot level to Mount Roberts.  They say this is one of the most expansive views in Southeast Alaska.  Once at the top of Mount Roberts, we hiked trails and of course captured a ton of pics.

I really wish we had known several things.  #1 – The tram pass was good for all day…we didn’t find this out until late in the afternoon. #2 – Mount Roberts is full of great hiking trails.  You can even hike back down the mountain if you allow enough time.

The tramway did not disappoint.  It ended up being one of my favorite activities of the entire trip.

Happy Shooting,
